Sports I Love

          Recently, I have been able to watch lots of special events like the Olympic Games and World Cup on TV.  Even though I like observing sports more than actually playing them, there is one sport I love to watch and play.    Today I would like to talk about two sports I like to watch, baseball and soccer because they are the sports I enjoying watching the most.

I think that it is a very interesting time for baseball because there are lots of strong teams trying to win the pennant right now.  I actually belong to an amateur baseball team, and play baseball on Sunday every week. The team to which I belong has advanced to the semifinal. However, our last few games have been called off for about one month now because of bad weather, such as typhoons.  Since I have actually come to want to play baseball, especially after watching games on TV, I am praying that the weather clears up next Sunday. I really want my team to win the championship so I hope we can play soon.

I also like watching soccer. I especially like international matches, such as the World Cup. I find the offensive teams the most interesting to watch.  One such super-attack-team is the national team of the Netherlands. The offensive positions are occupied by their prime players. However, they finished with the regrettable results in the last World Cup with an early defeat. 

          Even though I love watching soccer and baseball, since I play baseball I have to say that it is my favorite sport.  Once you play a game, you start to understand how it really works and you can appreciate the great play, skill, and technique of the players even more.
