Music I Love

I love music because music mends my tired sprit. Therefore, I would like to tell you about my favorite singers. They include Hikaru Utada, Mr. Children, and Zeebra.

Maybe you have heard of Hikaru Utada. She is very popular in Japan and has recently started a career in the States. I like her because she has outstanding singing ability. However, more important, she writes and produces her song herself. Because of this, it is natural that listeners feel and can experience Hikaru's emotions. This is one reason why she is so popular. She can speak English too. She mixes Japanese and English in her songs. This creates a beautiful sound where the two languages are blended together.

Another famous Japanese band that you might have heard of is Mr. Children. They are a rock band who represent the best of Japanese soft rock. They sing about peoples ugly and weak points, but they also sing about people’s beautiful points, too. I feel their songs capture people's essence, so their songs are very deep. I am always deeply moved when I listen to their music.

Maybe you have never heard of Japanese hip hop but I love it. Japanese hip-hop is arranged like American's hip-hop. One of Hip-hop's characteristics is rhyme. Japanese Hip-hop is very rhythmical, so I love hip-hop's rhythm. For me, Zeebra is the most popular mc in Japan’s hip-hop's world. His level of rhythm is very high. I am fascinated by his rhythm, so I love his hip-hop.

If you get a chance, please check out Hikuru Utuda, Mr. Children, and Zeebra. They are my favorite bands and they bring a lot of happiness into my life. If you listen to them, I think they will do the same for you.

Traditional Japanese-style food.

　There is much Japanese-style food in Japan.

　I like sushi also in Japanese-style food. Sushi carries a raw fish on rice. The flavor of a fish is good and it is the food which Japan is proud of in the world.

　Moreover, I also like　Udon. Udon is noodles. Udon have a peculiar feeling of a meal. It satisfies Japanese people.

　There is tofu in Japan. Tofu is made from a soybean. Tofu is soft taste. But there is soyveans flavor in tofu. I like flavor of tofu.

　I think that Japanese-style food is the food which it can be proud of in the world. I like Japanese-style food.

Japanese Local Culture

I met many local people in Tokai University. The local people have culture that I don't know. So I surprised. I want to write their culture.

Local people speak in dialect. I like dialect. I feel their personality. But, they forget dialect by little and little in Tokai University. That's pity.

Local people's character is also different. For example, people of Aichi Prefecture economize. It is a good thing. However, I regard their thing as stingy occasionally. People of Kansai is hasty. They are always in a hurry. The efficiency of work is good. I want to follow them. Culture changes with areas also in Japan. I am very interested.
